Overview

Virginia “Ginny” Gambacurta is a partner in Swift Currie’s Birmingham office. Ginny’s practice primarily includes the defense of local, regional and national manufacturers, distributors, retailers, restaurants and hotels in premises liability, product liability and transportation cases. She has earned an AV-rating through the Martindale-Hubbell peer review process.

On behalf of her clients, Ginny has obtained numerous dismissals through summary judgment in both state and federal courts. She has tried several cases to verdict – most recently a federal court jury trial in which she obtained a defense verdict in a case where Plaintiff was seeking damages in excess of seven figures. Additionally, Ginny has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution with a high success rate for resolving claims outside of the courtroom.

Ginny is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Alabama and the Supreme Court of the United States. She is a member of the Birmingham and Alabama State Bar Associations, the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association, Defense Research Institute, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association.

Ginny earned her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. She received her B.S., magna cum laude, in marketing and business administration from Troy University.
