Cody Batchelor

Cody L. Batchelor is an associate attorney in Swift Currie’s Atlanta office. He focuses his practice on defending insurers and businesses against workers’ compensation claims throughout Georgia.

Cody previously served as a public defender, which allowed him the opportunity to sharpen his advocacy skills and learn to manage the multiple moving parts in a given case. Cody recognizes the emotions that can come about in a case and knows how to work with his clients to ease any fear or tension. 

In his work, Cody prioritizes a detailed review of each case, a thorough assessment of options and an explanation of strategy that is often riddled with legal complexity in a way that his clients can better understand. His courtroom litigation experience has prepared him to aggressively advocate for clients and confront difficult legal issues with ease.

Cody earned his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law. He received his B.A. from the University of Miami.

Outside of work, Cody enjoys running, traveling and participating in environmental improvement activities such as composting, rainwater collection, recycling and picking up litter in his neighborhood. Cody also enjoys Chinese and Taiwanese food and cultural activities.
