Overview

E. Chris Blessy is an associate in Swift Currie’s Atlanta office, focusing his practice on automobile litigation, trucking and transportation litigation, commercial litigation, general liability and premises liability. With a background in both criminal and civil litigation, Chris brings a strategic, results-driven approach to his practice, ensuring clients receive thorough representation and clear guidance through complex legal matters.

Prior to joining Swift Currie, Chris served as a staff attorney for Judge Aaron B. Mason in Clayton County Superior Court, where he gained valuable experience in trial procedures and judicial decision-making. His courtroom experience includes two high-stakes jury trials, including a murder trial and an aggravated assault case, as well as securing a not guilty verdict in an aggravated assault case and a case dismissal in Hall County.

Chris’s clients appreciate his ability to bring clarity, peace and comfort to their legal challenges, ensuring they fully understand the legal system and their options. His international upbringing in West Africa and France has given him the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients and colleagues. He has experience with HIPAA laws, GLBA, UM/UIM laws, contributory and comparative negligence laws, Dram Shop laws and various insurance defense regulations.

Chris earned his J.D. from Mercer University School of Law and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
