Overview
Gillian S. Crowl-Parrish is a partner with Swift Currie who practices in the areas of commercial litigation, trucking litigation, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, insurance coverage, premises liability and bad faith litigation. Gillian represents large corporations, insurance companies, trucking companies and small businesses in both Georgia and North Carolina. Gillian is also a co-chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee.
While Gillian’s practice focuses on complex personal injury, insurance and business disputes, she also has significant experience with matters related to life, health, disability, ERISA and experience responding to complaints from regulatory agencies, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.
Gillian pairs her knowledge of the law with a calm and focused demeanor, which allows her to effectively represent her clients while providing the responsive service needed to keep them informed. She knows the high stakes her clients face with every case and she understands no two cases are the same, especially because the injuries, manner of injuries and causes of action are unique.
Gillian is highly active within the legal and Atlanta communities. She currently serves as the President of the State Bar of Georgia Diversity Program, Chair of the Nominating Committee and the Annual Achievement Awards for the National Bar Association Women Lawyers Division, the President-Elect of the Leadership Institute for Women of Color Attorneys, the Secretary and Auction Committee Chair of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys and the Vice-Chair of the Trucking Law Section of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. Gillian previously served as a President of the John S. Leary Association of Black Attorneys, the African American Bar Association in Charlotte, North Carolina and on the Insurance Law Committee for the North Carolina Bar Association.
