Overview
Jon D. Stewart, Jr., is a Swift Currie senior attorney who focuses his practice on defending insurers, privately held companies, non-profit corporations and individuals in matters pertaining to appellate work, automobile litigation, commercial litigation, construction law, premises liability, products liability and sexual abuse/assault.
In addition to his current practice at Swift Currie, Jon also has extensive experience in the areas of commercial real estate transactions, real estate litigation and probate litigation. As a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Jon has previously served as Chairman of the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Young Lawyers Division. Prior to entering law school, he worked in the Commercial Lending Department of Regions Financial Corporation.
Jon earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law. He also attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate degree, where he received a B.A. in History in 1993. In 1996, he earned a B.B.A. in finance from North Georgia College (now known as North Georgia University).

When not practicing law, Jon’s hobbies include coaching his son in baseball, fishing, bird hunting and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. He is also an Eagle Scout.
