Lauren Huston

Lauren A. Huston is an Alabama associate attorney with Swift Currie’s coverage and commercial litigation group. Her practice focuses on insurance coverage litigation, professional liability and other general and complex liability matters.

Prior to attending law school, Lauren worked as a claims adjuster for a large property and casualty insurer. This invaluable experience guides her interactions with insurance professionals, clients and opposing parties and their counsel and allows her to understand the expectations most clients have when handling a case from the insurer's side.

In her legal career, Lauren has worked on complex and high exposure cases, some exceeding $10 million. These include construction defects, negligent engineering and toxic tort cases.

Lauren prides herself on having high standards for case handling. Her combined expertise in both insurance adjustment and insurance legal defense have shown Lauren how important it is to do everything she can to protect clients. In addition to her prior experiences, Lauren utilizes her outgoing and friendly nature to build positive relationships with both her clients and opposing counsel.

Lauren earned her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. She received her B.S. from Troy University.
