Overview

M. Brandon Howard is a litigation attorney at Swift Currie’s Atlanta office, where he focuses on insurance coverage and complex commercial litigation. Known for his precision and results-driven approach, Brandon represents insurers in high-stakes disputes across the nation, guiding them through personal injury claims, commercial liability, construction disputes and bad faith litigation in both state and federal courts.

Brandon’s deep expertise in policy interpretation and coverage obligations makes him a key advisor to insurers, helping them navigate first- and third-party claims and reduce liability exposure. He has successfully defended clients through strategic counsel and sharp legal writing, excelling in pre-trial motions and appellate litigation. In addition to insurance, he has extensive experience in consumer protection and class action defense, particularly cases involving federal statutes such as the TCPA and FDCPA.

Before joining Swift Currie, Brandon served as a judicial law clerk for U.S. District Judge Richard L. Voorhees, where he worked on civil and criminal matters, as well as appeals in the Fourth and Eleventh Circuits. This experience gave him a firsthand understanding of the judicial process and honed his ability to handle complex litigation.

Brandon is admitted to practice in all Georgia state and federal courts, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Eleventh and Fourth Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court. A graduate of Georgia State University College of Law, magna cum laude, he has been recognized by Best Lawyers as “One to Watch” from 2021 through 2024. His commitment to providing clear, decisive advocacy continues to make him a trusted advisor in today’s legal landscape.
