Overview

Tessola Duncan is an associate attorney in Swift Currie’s Atlanta office. She focuses her practice on matters pertaining to arson and fraud, bad faith litigation, commercial litigation and insurance coverage. 

Prior to joining Swift Currie, Tessola served in numerous legal internship and externships roles, including one with the Macon-Bibb Public Defenders Circuit and with the Georgia Resource Center.  She also served as a summer associate with Swift Currie in 2023. 

Tessola earned both her J.D. and B.A. from Mercer University. While in law school, she served as chapter president for the Black Law Students Association, founded the Corporate Counsel Society, served as the Student Liaison for the Business Law Section of the ABA and served on the Regional Executive board for the Southern Region of the National Black Law Students Association. While completing her undergraduate studies, Tessola was a student athlete and president of her sorority chapter. These experiences taught her how to handle a large workload while maintaining a standard of excellence in her practice. Her strong leadership skills allow her to work harmoniously with clients and lead them to optimal case outcomes.

Interests

After being a track and field student athlete at Mercer University, Tessola was a volunteer high school track and field coach throughout her three years of law school.
