WEBINAR: Time's (Not?) Up! A Primer on Georgia Statutes of Limitations and Tolling
Attorneys Calvin Yaeger and Leah Parker will host the webinar, "Time's (Not?) Up! A Primer on Georgia Statutes of Limitations and Tolling," on June 29 from 1-2 p.m. Eastern.
Anyone involved in civil litigation knows claims have expiration dates and those claims not filed within the proper time are subject to dismissal. However, the deadline to file varies widely based on the type of claim. Georgia statutes provide a number of ways these deadlines can be tolled, giving plaintiffs even more time to file suit.
This webinar is a primer on the various statutes of limitations in Georgia tort claims, including an update in the applicable law following the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a detailed discussion of the many ways Georgia’s statutes allow for tolling. As monitoring and calculating deadlines for filing suit is a vital part of claim management, this presentation will include some suggested tips and instructions to help you confidently determine when “time’s up!”
The webinar will offer one general hour of continuing education credit (pending approval) for attendees registered with the Georgia Department of Insurance.
Instructions to join webinar will be emailed to registrants closer to the date of the program.
