Jury Returns Defense Verdict in Premises Liability Case Involving House Fire

The plaintiff suffered serious burn injuries following a house fire. The defendant owned the house that was occupied by multiple tenants. The plaintiff claimed the defendant failed to comply with certain codes/ordinances, failed to keep the house in proper repair and ultimately caused the fire. Following trial, the Athens-Clarke County jury found in favor of the defendant.
